Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how C&C IDEA LAB (“C&C IDEA LAB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through www.ccidealab.com (the “Site”). We are a branding and web design agency based in Burnaby and Langley, British Columbia, Canada. This policy applies only to the Site; separate arrangements govern the client engagements we run.

Information we collect

We do not operate contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, user accounts, or e-commerce on the Site. The only ways you actively share information with us are by emailing hello@ccidealab.com or calling one of our offices. What you send us in that correspondence is retained only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) and our analytics tools automatically collect limited technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is used to operate the Site, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate traffic patterns. It is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember display preferences (for example, light/dark theme). Analytics cookies are set by the third-party services listed below. You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings; the Site remains fully usable without them, though some analytics features will not function.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery. Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, path, timestamp) are retained by Vercel for operational purposes.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC) — aggregate visitor analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID>. IP addresses may be processed by Google in the United States. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• ClickRank AI — a third-party SEO/AI-search assistant script loaded on our pages to help our content appear correctly in search and AI answer engines. See clickrank.ai for its own data-handling terms.
• Google Fonts (Google LLC) — used indirectly through the Inter typeface delivered by Next.js. When served from Google’s CDN, font requests can include your IP address.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not run advertising cookies or use the Site for targeted advertising.

How we use information

• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To respond to inquiries you send us by email or phone, and to keep records of that correspondence.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns (page popularity, geographic mix, device mix) so we can improve the Site’s content and performance.
• To comply with legal obligations if required.

Data retention

We retain email correspondence for as long as needed to serve the relationship it relates to. Server logs held by Vercel follow their standard retention schedule. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention window set in our GA property (Google’s default is 14 months).

Your rights under PIPA and PIPEDA

If you are in British Columbia, the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) governs how we handle your personal information. Elsewhere in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies. Under these laws you generally have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used.
• Request access to that information.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Withdraw consent to our processing (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).
• Raise a concern with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

International visitors

The Site is operated from Canada and served through a global content delivery network. If you visit from outside Canada, please be aware that information collected may be processed in Canada and in the United States (where several of our vendors are located). By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Automated crawling and AI training

Our robots.txt declares which automated agents are permitted to crawl the Site. We block certain AI model-training crawlers from indexing our content while allowing AI search assistants that respond to real user queries. Please respect that policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our vendors, or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
